Faison Bell, Jr. will head the PTA program at the medical career college. Bell has many years experience in physical therapy as well as a Master’s degree in the rapidly expanding PTA field. The Denver campus recently expanded its curriculum to offer the new, two-year Associate’s Degree program.

Due
to the demand for employment in the PTA area, those interested in this new,
two-year Associate’s Degree program are encouraged to register immediately as it
is expected to fill quickly.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Statistics, employment
of Physical Therapist Assistants is expected to grow much faster than the
average through the year 2012. Physical Therapist Assistants assist Registered
Physical Therapists in patient procedures such as: exercise for increasing
strength, endurance, coordination and range of motion; electrical stimulation to
activate paralyzed muscles; instruction in carrying out everyday activities in
the use of helping devices; and the application of massage, heat, cold, light,
water or electricity to relieve pain or improve the condition of the muscle or
skin.
The Denver campus also
offers programs for Dental Assistant; Expanded Duties for Dental Assistant;
Medical Assistant; Medical Administrative Assistant; Ophthalmic Medical
Technician; Pharmacy Technician; Phlebotomy Technician, Physical Therapy
Technician; Radiography; Respiratory Therapy and Veterinary
Assistant.
