Loveland, CO (PRWEB) May 23, 2005 -- Dr. Patrick Mallory, a physician board-certified in family practice and osteopathic manipulation, has established a new practice in Loveland. Mallory Osteopathic Family Practice is located at 1952 Blue Mesa Court, just west of McKee Medical Center. Doctor Mallory and his Physician's Assistant, Shari Lopez, are welcoming new patients, and currently offer appointments Monday through Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Starting May 31st, walk-in hours will be offered Monday through Friday from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m.

"After completing four years of work for the U.S. Air Force as a family practice physician, I'm pleased to realize a long-time goal of settling down in Colorado with my family and opening my own practice," notes Dr. Mallory. "I love the outdoors and all that Colorado has to offer, and I look forward to partnering with patients to help maintain and improve their health."

Dr. Mallory and Mallory Osteopathic Family Practice bring northern Colorado not only traditional family practice services, but also specialized treatments not available at other local medical practices.

Through his osteopathic family practice, Dr. Mallory focuses on preventative healthcare. Osteopathy is a system of medicine developed 130 years ago by A.T. Still, M.D., and today is one of the fastest-growing healthcare disciplines in the U.S., bringing a unique philosophy to traditional medicine. With a strong emphasis on the inter-relationship of the body's nerves, muscles, bones and organs, doctors of osteopathic medicine, or D.O.s, apply the philosophy of treating the whole person to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, disease and injury. Treatment may include Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) to correct disturbances in the musculoskeletal system, and conventional surgical, pharmacologic and other therapeutic procedures when appropriate.

In addition to the Osteopathic approach, Dr. Mallory also offers his patients three treatment options not available anywhere else in the area:
•    Intervertebral Differential Dynamics (IDD) Therapy®, for those who suffer low back or neck pain, performed on an Accuspina Machine made by North American Medical Corporation. IDD Therapy is completely non-invasive and painless, and has proven successful in 86% of people with low back pain from bulging or herniated discs, facet syndrome, sciatica, stenosis, as well as non-specific causes, which are often treated surgically.
•    Anodyne® Therapy, a form of light therapy using near-infrared light, is also referred to as MIRE therapy, which stands for Monochromatic (one wave length of light) Infra- Red Energy therapy. MIRE therapy is extremely effective in treating and reversing Diabetic and other forms of neuropathy as well as in promoting healing of wounds and chronic sprains and strains.
•    Prolotherapy, also referred to as “sclerotherapy” or “ligament reconstruction,” treats ligaments and tendons through injections that stimulate the body’s innate healing mechanisms. This therapy has helped many patients recover from painful conditions otherwise treated with surgery and/or chronic medications, often with limited success.

Family practice services offered include standard office visits, immunizations, school and sports physicals, as well as treatment of chronic conditions. Other in-office services include gynecologic exams, select laboratory services including blood and urine screenings, biopsies and excisions of minor skin lesions using radiowave technology, vasectomies and IUD insertion.
