Loveland, CO (PRWEB) July 20, 2005 -- Mallory Osteopathic Family Practice is
pleased to announce the availability of IDD Therapy®, a proven, non-surgical
therapy for those suffering chronic back and neck pain. Previously, patients in
northern Colorado or southern Wyoming who had exhausted other treatment options
for neck or back pain had to consider surgery, or travel to Denver for
Intervertebral Differential Dynamics (IDD) Therapy. Given that four out of five
Americans will experience some sort of back pain during their lives, 65 million
suffer from low back pain each year, and a similar number are afflicted with
neck pain, thousands in the area stand to benefit from this
treatment.
“Patients are typically relieved to learn that there is a
treatment option that can allow them to avoid surgery if other types of
treatment for back or neck pain fail,” notes Dr. Mallory. “Surgery works well in
many cases, providing full or partial relief from pain, but there is no
guarantee of success, and IDD Therapy provides an alternative to consider for
those who view surgery as a last resort."
IDD Therapy is performed on an
Accuspina Machine from North American Medical Corporation (www.spinaprogram.com). IDD
Therapy is completely non-invasive and painless, and has proven successful in
treating 86% of people with lower-back pain from bulging or herniated discs,
facet syndrome, sciatica, stenosis and non-specific causes often treated with
surgery. Patients who have not found relief from back or neck pain after
standard medical treatment should consider IDD therapy prior to choosing surgery
in their search for relief.
A recent Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre study of
349 back pain sufferers in the U.K. was featured on CNN and other major news
sources. The study found no evidence that surgery was a better treatment, even
though it cost nearly twice as much as rehabilitation in the U.K. IDD Therapy
can cost one half to one tenth of what typical back pain surgeries can run in
the U.S. Besides the common cold, back pain is the most common cause of lost
workdays in adults younger than 45 years of age. Patients seeking relief spend
$25 billion annually.
IDD Therapy offers one of the most advanced methods
of decompression therapy available today. During the IDD Therapy treatment
session, the Accuspina machine gradually applies pressure on specific neck or
low back discs, gently opening the discs and allowing oxygen, proteins and other
substrates to enter and re-hydrate the discs. This negative pressure, or vacuum,
promotes the regression of herniated or bulging discs, thereby effectively
relieving the patient’s pain.
The majority of health insurance plans,
including Medicare, cover IDD therapy treatment sessions with the Accuspina
machine. The therapy offers relief from post-surgical patients still suffering
neck or back pain. Dr. Mallory is board-certified in family practice and
