(PRWEB) June 30, 2005 -- Kathy Hirtz, M.D. turned aerobatic pilot, can be seen performing with the Clarity Aloft™ Headset in her Pitts S-2B at the Northwest EAA Fly-In in Arlington, Washington, July 6 through July 10, and at other air shows in the Northwest this year. Representatives from Aloft Technologies will also be at the fly-in to demonstrate the headset.

Hirtz chooses Clarity Aloft Aviation Headset for safety and comfort. Dr. Hirtz selected Aloft Technologies after experiencing the hearing protection and lightweight design of the Clarity Aloft headset at an air show in Puyallup, Washington.

Dr. Hirtz began her flying career as an aerobatic pilot in 2001 at the age of 48, and founded Wing Over Aerobatics, LLC, in Eugene, Oregon, offering aerobatic flights to students and the general public. In her Pitts S-2B, Dr. Hirtz endures positive six to negative three G forces when performing impressive gyroscopic maneuvers. She found that the Clarity Aloft headset offered the stable, lightweight design she needed when performing, and stated, “I feel like I don't have a headset on at all; it is a very free feeling.”

"We are happy to help Kathy Hirtz in her endeavors as a premier aerobatic pilot,” says Bill Waterman, President of Aloft Technologies. “Kathy knows how complex maneuvers in flight can affect her ability to hear accurately and move freely”

Dr Hirtz advocated that the Clarity Aloft headset’s passive noise reduction performed very well against the high-noise environment of her Pitts Special. “The noise reduction works very well. The engine noise is reduced but the sound quality is not changed like my active noise reduction (ANR) set,” Kathy reported, adding, “What I hear now sounds like a running engine not just noise.”

Aloft Technologies has merged the most advanced technologies from the fields of hearing science, aviation communications, and audio performance into one aviation headset design. The Clarity Aloft Headset has performed beyond the expectations of aviation enthusiast’s worldwide and is considered the next generation of lightweight, noise canceling headset design.
