City of Hope and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Present Celebrity Gala and Fashion Show April 2, 2005
An Emmy-award winning CBS drama is joining forces with one of the nation’s top cancer hospitals to raise money for the fight against cancer, AIDS, and other diseases.
(PRWEB) March 11, 2005 -- The Bold and the Beautiful
(B&B), an Emmy-award winning daytime drama on CBS, is joining forces with
City of Hope, one of the nation’s top cancer hospitals and a pioneering
biomedical research and treatment institute, to raise money and awareness of its
efforts to defeat cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening
diseases in the 21st century.
The Apparel Industries Group for City of
Hope Annual Gala will be held on April 2, 2005 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in
Beverly Hills, California. The evening’s highlight will be Lorenzo Lamas as the
master of ceremonies presenting a celebrity fashion show
featuring seventy original gowns created by B&B’s Emmy Award-winning costume
designer, Birgit Muller. Thirty-five of the gowns will be auctioned on eBay,
with all proceeds benefiting City of Hope. Bidding on the gowns will begin March
30th and last until the end of April 8th.
