SourceOne Healthcare Technologies, Inc. Renews Distribution Agreement with iCAD, Inc.
Sales success coupled with a tremendous distribution channel result in two-year agreement extension.
Mentor, OH and Nashua, NH (PRWEB) July 16, 2005 -- SourceOne Healthcare
Technologies, Inc., one of the nation’s leading distributors of medical imaging
systems, equipment, radiographic consumable supplies, and service to healthcare
providers, and iCAD, Inc., an industry-leading provider of Computer-Aided
Detection (CAD) solutions for the early identification of cancer, today
announced that the companies have signed an extended two-year national
distribution agreement.
Under terms of the agreement, SourceOne will
continue to distribute iCAD’s Second Look® film-based mammography CAD systems in
the United States. The Second Look systems are compatible with all digital and
film-based mammography systems. Since October of 2003, SourceOne has sold iCAD
as it’s only offering in the CAD category and has shipped more than 100 Second
Look systems. Together, both companies are making CAD technology more accessible
to hospitals, imaging centers and women’s health centers nationwide.
"SourceOne has been a vital link for the distribution of iCAD Second
Look systems to customers throughout the country," said Scott Parr, president
and CEO of iCAD, Inc. "We are pleased to renew our partnership and look forward
to working together to help women gain broader access to our proven early breast
cancer detection technology."
"We are committed to providing our
customers the latest technology to improve women’s health, such as CAD,
mammography, mammography information systems, diagnostic digital and analog
systems and supplies," said Jerry C. Cirino, SourceOne president and CEO.
"iCAD’s Second Look CAD systems lead the industry in helping physicians battle
the war against breast cancer. We are proud to be able to continue to offer our
customers the number one rated CAD solution."
Repeatedly recognized as
offering "The Winning Combination" of Price and Performance by MD Buyline, iCAD
offers a comprehensive range of high-performance, upgradeable CAD systems for
the high, mid and low volume mammography markets. iCAD’s Second Look systems act
very much like a second pair of eyes, assisting doctors in detecting up to 68
percent of actionable missed breast cancers an average of 15 months earlier than
screening mammography alone.
