The TAIG Foundation recognized Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Weintraub for their donation of two Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to The Association for Independent Growth, Inc. (TAIG).
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) January 13, 2005 -- On Monday, January 10, 2005, The
TAIG Foundation recognized Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Weintraub for their donation of
two Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to The Association for Independent
Growth, Inc. (TAIG).
The TAIG Foundation is a supporting organization of
TAIG. The mission of the foundation is to generate revenue to enhance the
services to the nearly two hundred (200) individuals supported by TAIG. We
envision the TAIG Foundation enabling people with mental retardation, mental
illnesses, and related disabilities supported by TAIG to reach their full
potential by providing the necessary funding to support various program
services.
Founded in 1984, TAIG has continuously supported people with
disabilities to be successful in every endeavor they choose. As a leader in the
community inclusion movement, TAIG recognizes all individuals as valued,
contributing citizens with full rights to enjoy “life, liberty and the pursuit
of happiness.”
Automated External Defibrillators improve survival after
an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Their presence reduces the critical time for
treatment. Less time to defibrillation improves victims’ chances of survival.
The AED’s will be placed in strategic locations throughout TAIG
corporate offices to allow access by trained individuals to use in reviving
individuals supported by TAIG and/or personnel during certain cardiac crisis
prior to the arrival of emergency services.
