Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) November 17, 2004 -- QRS Diagnostic, leader in
innovative design and development of software-based medical devices in computer
cards, has started distributing its devices in Japan. “With total annual sales
of some $20 billion, including $5 billion in sales for American companies, Japan
is the world’s second largest market for medical devices and the most important
export destination for U.S. device companies,” said Spencer Lien, chief
executive officer, QRS. “Entering the Japanese market is a significant step
forward as QRS continues to grow our distribution channels and expand
international sales.”

the Japanese government for clearance to market all QRS computer card medical
devices in 2005, including its devices for spirometry, pulse oximetry and blood
pressure measurement.
The first of QRS’ two patents on the design of
medical devices contained in computer cards, Patent No. 5,827,179 (approved by

approved in Canada, Mexico, Australia and China. Approval is pending in
Japan.
