Eastern Fuels Paper Baseball Campaign Provides Significant Benefits for a Great Cause
Eastern Fuels Paper Baseball Campaign to "Strike Out ALS" has helped support the Jim "Catfish" Hunter Chapter of the ALSA, raising awareness and funding needed to help search for a cure for ALS. The campaign comes to an end March 31, 2005.
Ahoskie, NC (PRWEB) March 19, 2005 -- Eastern Fuels has been working
selflessly with The Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter of the ALS Association,
providing incredible financial support from the success of several fundraisers
in the area. Their most recent effort, a Paper Baseball Campaign to “Strike Out
ALS”, will end on March 31st.
The Paper Baseball Campaign is a year-long
effort to promote awareness and raise funding for the Chapter. To date, the
campaign has raised over $8,800 for the Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter – all of
which will go toward funding research, medical equipment and other Chapter
needs.
The Association’s sole mission is to find a cure for amyotrophic
lateral sclerosis, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and to improve
the lives for those living with ALS. “The continued support of all of our
friends makes it possible to provide those afflicted with ALS the proper medical
treatment and facilities to ease their struggles,” said Jerry Dawson, Executive
Director of the Chapter.
Eastern Fuels has led several campaigns to help
the nonprofit group raise awareness and funding needed to help search for a cure
for the disease. The company has received incredible support from many
communities in northeastern North Carolina, and expects those involved to
continue to support the fight against ALS through the end of the Baseball
Campaign later this month.
Eastern Fuels have been committed to
contributing to the communities they serve by leading the fundraising for a
worthwhile cause – a cause especially close to the heart of many people in
northeastern North Carolina and southern Virginia, the home of Jim “Catfish”
Hunter. “We appreciate the loyalty of all Eastern Fuels’ customers and encourage
them to join the fight against ALS,” said Adam Coleman, Vice-President and Chief
Operating Officer.
“This corporation is dedicated to the fight against
ALS in honor of Jim “Catfish” Hunter. Eastern Fuels has been an extraordinary
benefit to our Chapter and in more ways than just raising much needed funds –
these fundraisers also raise so much awareness for our cause,” added Jerry
Dawson.
Eastern Fuels is a subsidiary of Beasley Enterprises, Inc. and is
a major residential and commercial fuel supplier to many homes and businesses.
