The Well Project Implements Documentum eRoom for Online Collaboration
Armedia implements Documentum eRoom, the Documentum enterprise collaboration solution, for The Well Project (TWP). eRoom provides the distributed TWP leadership team with tools such as shared calendars, contact lists, project issue tracking, and real time discussion.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 6, 2004 -- Armedia LLC (www.armedia.com), a leading
provider of enterprise content management services and a Documentum Signature
Partner, today announced that through its services The Well Project has
implemented Documentum eRoom 7.2, the latest version of the Documentum
enterprise collaboration solution. The Well Project (TWP) is a community-focused
organization that is committed to improving the lives of women living with HIV
and AIDS. Using eRoom 7.2 and integrating with its existing Documentum 5
platform, TWP can now securely collaborate online to manage its internal
projects, exchange real-time information and presentations and easily access its
Documentum repositories.
TWP was anxious to enhance internal controls by
creating an online “Executive Dashboard” that would allow its distributed
leadership team to securely and conveniently collaborate online on both company
and project-related matters. They were looking for a collaboration platform to
integrate with Documentum, but also provide many additional value-added features
such as ease of use, project-based configuration, shared tools (e.g. calendar,
issue tracker, contact list, etc), flexible security and real time
discussion.
“We needed a customized Executive Dashboard, where the
leadership team, as well as certain employees and partners could easily, quickly
and securely collaborate on information relevant to them," said Richard Averitt,
Chief Operating Officer for The Well Project. “eRoom, combined with our existing
Documentum platform, gives us the best of both worlds in that regards. Through
the customizations that Armedia developed on eRoom for us, our leadership team
now has the tools and ease of use that we needed to efficiently exchange files
and real-time information, without sacrificing our compliance standards or
‘dumbing’ down our usage of Documentum.”
"We understood from our
continuing work with The Well Project that as much as the leadership team wanted
to use all of the rich features of Documentum for managing their files and
information, there was a learning curve for them given their other commitments,"
said Jim Nasr, Chief Executive Officer for Armedia, a business and technology
consulting firm. “Creating their online Executive Dashboard through eRoom allows
TWP leadership to not only more benefit from the core functionality of
Documentum, but also have at their disposal a number of value-added tools to
effectively collaborate online.”
