iCongo Extends Network to Include CareNET Suppliers and Hospitals
iCongo signs interconnection agreement with Emergis
Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 13, 2005 -- iCongo Inc., a leading North American
eCommerce company, today announced that it has signed an interconnection
agreement with Emergis Inc. (TSX: EME). This agreement will allow Quebec
hospitals and suppliers using iCongo’s MediChain platform, a major online
procurement solution for the healthcare industry, to connect with CareNET
suppliers and hospitals that are already using Emergis’ business integration
services. This five-year deal will greatly expand the network of suppliers and
hospitals conducting e-commerce through iCongo’s MediChain platform and
strengthen Emergis’ relationships with the health care provider community in
Quebec.
"The agreement with Emergis will significantly increase the
number of transactions flowing through both Emergis’ network and iCongo’s
MediChain Document Exchange Platform, and will allow Quebec hospitals to more
rapidly achieve their goal of utilizing e-commerce for the full procurement
cycle," said Irwin Kramer, President of iCongo. "It also allows iCongo to
leverage Emergis’ network and its CareNET suppliers, thus reducing costs for
Quebec hospitals."
