Send Your Fat Packing, Go Fatpacking
This Spring, 6-8 people will go on a 2 week adventure vacation, eat all they want and still lose weight. It sounds like an outright lie, but not with Fatpacking. Fatpacking is body composition change via backpacking. It's unique, it's exercise, it's a wilderness vacation.
(PRWEB) December 23, 2004 -- From March 19 – April 3, 2004, 6-8 nature lovers
(maybe you) who are 15-50 pounds overweight will backpack over 100 miles of the
Arizona Trail east of Phoenix. The hike will study the effects of backpacking on
weight, body composition, respiration, pulse, blood pressure, and a host of
other health related metrics.
Participants will not be restricted to any
austere diet or eating plan. Fatpacking believes that eating heartily is
important in keeping your body at peak performance level for the rigors of
backpacking. We postulate that weight loss will still occur, even if
participants eat all they want.
Hikers will also reap a host of ancillary
exercise induced benefits. These include kicking caffeine, stopping smoking,
reducing stress level, and lowering blood pressure, not to mention
fun.
This trip will be led by Wilderness First Responder Steve
Silberberg, who holds a degree from MIT.
Anyone who is interested in
participating in this trip (hiking) or chronicling it (Article / TV / Film),
please contact Fatpacking as soon as possible. Spots are available but space is
limited.
