Stretch Mark Removal For Good
New Technological Breakthrough Treatment Promises to Reduce or Even Eliminate the Most Stubborn Stretch Marks, For Good and in As Little As Fifteen Minutes.
Beverly Hills, CA (PRWEB) February 28, 2004--A new development was introduced
by Simon Ourian M.D., President of American Association of Aesthetic Laser
Medicine, at their annual meeting last week. Doctor Ourian presented the results
of a study in which mature stretch marks were dramatically improved with a new
treatment coined Coolbeam.
Laser have been used for a decade on fresh
stretch marks that are still red, but the new Coolbeam utilizes a ND Yag laser,
which seems to work effectively on mature, white stretch marks. Dr. Ourian’s
Study with Coolbeam resulted in all 95 subjects achieving normal or almost
normal skin color after three to six five minute sessions. “we looked at mature
stretch marks because those are the ones that had not responded to anything
else.” explained Ourian.
According to the American Academy of
Dermatology, 90 percent of pregnant women, 70 percent of adolescent females and
40 percent of adolescent males develop stretch marks. Coolbeam, a new treatment
introduced by Beverly Hills cosmetic surgeon, Simon S. Ourian, MD, Medical
Director at the Epione Medical Center, has shown to deliver dramatic
improvements among patients with both light and mature stretch
marks.
“Prior to Coolbeam, we had to turn away patients with older
stretch marks or give them surgical options,” says Dr. Ourian. “Topical
pharmaceutical creams such as Retin-A can improve the appearance of early
stretch marks. But no other treatment to date has been more effective in
treating all types of stretch marks.”
Coolbeam’s unique light-based
therapy masks the appearance of stretch marks by pigmenting skin affected by
such conditions. The laser uses a low intensity Nd:YAG and yellow light which
stimulate production of new collagen in depressed stretch marks, where a loss of
elastic tissue and collagen play a major role. The light also particularly works
well to reduce the appearance of red stretch marks.
According to Dr.
Ourian, mature stretch marks are caused by skin that has tried to reinforce
itself with supporting collagen fibers. The dermis, a deep layer underneath the
skin’s surface, is consequently scarred resulting in embedded stretch marks.
Says Dr. Ourian, “Coolbeam provides an innovative and effective solution for
these conditions. Patients can return to their normal activities immediately
and, within weeks, the appearance of stretch marks and scars is significantly
improved.”
Three to five Coolbeam treatments typically reduce the
appearance of stretch marks by 75 to 100 percent. The treatment is virtually
painless, is safe for all skin types and requires no downtime.
