New York Fitness Trainer Rushes Hard out of the Gate in the Race against Diabetes
Katrina McKenna, of MetamorFitness, has achieved individual fund-raising goal of $1000 in the annual American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure.
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 8, 2005 -- Manhattan fitness trainer, Katrina
McKenna, has taken a big step in her vow to help defeat diabetes. As the owner
of MetamorFitness, a Manhattan fitness consulting business, she put together a
team of seven riders to join this year's Tour de Cure bicycle ride in New York
City. Katrina has achieved her individual goal of raising $1000 for the
cause.
The American Diabetes Association holds this annual bike event to
raise funds for research, education and advocacy. The ADA tries to get it's
riders to raise a minimum of $100. Katrina set a personal goal of ten times that
and, with the generous help of her friends, family, colleagues, and a special
corporate sponsorship from WinMill Software (www.winmill.com), has just achieved it.
The rest of her
team has raised an average of $200 per rider. But Katrina isn't satisfied there.
Her business, MetamorFitness has committed to match the first $200 of each of
her team members’ fund-raising efforts (including her own).
To motivate
people to help reach MetamorFitness’ goal of $1000 per team member,
MetamorFitness is running a contest. For each $10 a person donates to any team
member, they get a chance to win two free fitness training sessions. In
addition, everyone who donates any amount to a member of our team can get a
special free report: “The Truth about Weight Loss and Diabetes: What You Should
Know Even if You Don't Have Diabetes”.
