French Wine Industry Difficulties: Awareness and Concern
In a recent PoppingCorks.com survey, 62% of 717 participants said that they were not aware of the difficulties facing the French wine industry and 75% reported that they were not at all concerned.
Toronto ON (PRWEB) June 8, 2005 -- A recent survey conducted at
PoppingCorks.com suggests that a majority of people are not aware of the
difficulties facing the French wine industry nor are they concerned.
"The results of the Popping Corks survey indicate that France isn’t any
longer the center of the wine world for North Americans," said industry expert
Tom Wark (http://www.warkcommunications.com). "We are happily exposed to
and focused on wines from across that globe. However, amongst those who are
aware of the French wine industry’s current difficulties but aren’t concerned, I
think we are seeing residual affect from the ill will that resulted from the
run-up to the war in Iraq."
Specifically, between February the 15th and
June 6, 2005, of the 717 people who participated in the survey at
PoppingCorks.com, 64% said that they were not aware of the difficulties facing
the French wine industry, and 75% were not at all concerned, 16% were somewhat
concerned, and 9% were not at all concerned.
A new survey question is
available on the site: "Would you buy a wine with a screw cap?" This question's
