1-800-DENTIST Partners with Buena Vista Television for 'New Smile, New Style' Makeovers on "The Tony Danza Show"
Five lucky people win smile makeovers
(PRWEB) May 21, 2005 -- 1-800-DENTIST®, the nation’s leading dental referral
service, has partnered with Buena Vista Television for multiple “New Smile, New
Style” makeovers segments on “The Tony Danza Show,” it was announced today by
1-800-DENTIST CEO and Co-Founder Fred Joyal. Four of the five participating
dentists are members of the 1-800-DENTIST program. These shows are scheduled to
air May 23-27, 2005.
"At 1-800-DENTIST, we are always in search of new
ways to promote the importance of regular dental office visits and dentistry as
a whole,” said Joyal, who is also featured in a few segments of the show and
helped to select the participating dentists. “Teaming up with the show to
showcase our dentists and referral service will attract more consumers to become
proactive towards improving their smiles. With the growing media interest in
smile makeovers, this is a great time to be a dentist.”
Each segment
shows producers visiting the makeover recipients in their hometowns to provide
insight into their lives, explain why the makeover is meaningful and witness
their comprehensive dental consultation. Participating dentists conduct all of
their dental treatment procedures in their own practices. All candidates will be
flown to New York where they will then receive a complete makeover (make-up,
hair and fashion style) to go along with their new smiles. All participating
dentists will accompany their respective patient to “The Tony Danza Show” set,
where they will reveal their new look live on the show. Makeover candidates were
chosen by the producers of the show based on the achievable smile makeover
results, and personal information (background story, etc). The viewers will be
able to see the dramatic transformations from start to finish.
1-800-DENTIST members featured in the show include: Dr. Sameer Puri of
Tarzana, California; Dr. Louis Malcmacher of Bay Village, Ohio; Dr. Mark Morin
of Southfield, Michigan and Dr. Timothy Driscoll of Geneva, Illinois. Dr. Maria
Roybal of La Jolla, California is also featured in the series.
