New relationship with national spcialist in software and educaitonl materials for health care industry bolsters ACOM's bid to command e-documentation and reporting system field in chiropractic and other medically related fields.
Big Lake, MN (PRWEB) May 5, 2005 -- The Electronic Medical Records Division
of ACOM Solutions, Inc. http://www.acomemr.com , developer and marketer of the RAPID
EMR clinical diagnosis and case document management and reporting system, has
signed a comprehensive reseller partnership agreement with EDU Technology http://www.edu-technology.com, a specialist in educational
software and products for professionals, institutions and students in the health
care field, it was announced today by ACOM Vice President Gregory T. Church and
EDU Technology Partner Neal Alen.
Currently in the
early stages of its national marketing initiative, RAPID EMR is being received
very favorably in the chiropractic and physical therapy community and is
attracting attention from other health care disciplines as well, Church
said.
Alen, who is based in San Francisco, formed EDU
Technology three years ago with Big Lake-based Richard Hinrichs after both had
spent more than 20 years with prominent Silicon Valley software companies. Under
terms of the agreement, the company will be responsible not only for RAPID EMR
sales, but also for installation, training and first-line
support.
“We feel fortunate to be partnering with this
ambitious and aggressive company, for we feel that their objectives and energies
are very much in tune with our own,” Church said. “EDU Technology has solid
experience in marketing software and related products into the health care
field, as well as extensive capabilities in service and support. These
capabilities will be valuable complements in our continuing campaign in the
chiropractic market and beyond.”
According to Alen, he
and his partner are enthusiastic about RAPID EMR becoming part of the EDU
Technology product and service mix.
“We position
ourselves as a service-based company, and we were attracted to RAPID EMR because
we feel that it represents the state of the art in the EMR field, that it is
extremely comprehensive, and at the same time it is easy to learn and to use,”
Alen said. “Our due diligence told us that it addresses all of the key
challenges faced by chiropractors since it largely eliminates the burden of
paperwork by automating the documentation and reporting of patient treatments.
“The precision and quality of its reports, supported
by multiple on-screen checklists, interactive graphics, and helpers linked to
intelligent paragraphs, will be instrumental in helping chiropractors achieve a
more dependable payment stream. It will also ensure fewer claims disputed by
insurers, reduce costs associated with dictation and transcription, and generate
a higher patient retention rate through faster delivery and greater clarity of
Outcome Assessments.”
RAPID EMR plays well into EDU
Technology’s primary markets --chiropractors and physical therapists, followed
closely by the osteopathic, nursing and general medicine fields, Alen said. Its
clientele include doctors, medical schools, chiropractic colleges, alternative
medicine practitioners and institutions, and allied heath care
providers.
