Prague, Chez Republic, EuroPace 2005, (PRWEB) July 7, 2005 -- Mennen Medical today announced the availability of their newest product – their CE marked EMS-XL, a combination electrophysiology and hemodynamic monitoring system, perfect for the dual purpose cardiac catheterization laboratory.

Available in three (3) models: Console, Mobile Cart and Desk Top, the new EMS-XL is a computerized medical device that displays, records and analyzes surface and intra-cardiac electrograms during diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures.

Specifically designed for the Cardiac Electophysiologist, the EMS-XL provides a unique solution capable of a complete range of monitoring functions. The EMS-XL also provides extensive on screen reporting with the dual 20” monitors and even generates fully editable reports in MS Word format. Complete patient waveform data is continuously written to the secured hard-drive throughout the procedure, storing up to 16 hours per patient.

Developed using proven industry standard technology, the EMS-XL comes complete with an integrated computerized cardiac stimulator. The stimulator features programmable pacing controls with automatic increment and decrement functions, including all basic modes of pacing making the EMS-XL integrated system truly ‘state of the art’ for the industry.

Offering either 32 or 64 monitoring channels, the cardiac stimulator is capable of single channel, simultaneous and sequential stimulation at programmed output settings. The two channel constant current output provides versatility for site pacing and emergency backup.

John Stevenson, Vice President indicated that "the new EMS-XL 32/64 channel system was developed with a Windows XP operating system. This responds to high demand from Mennen's international distributor network for a successor to the popular EMS 32 channel unit. The EMS-XL 32/64 sets the stage for further EP product development. A 64/128 channel "combo" electrophysiology-hemodynamics seamlessly integrated system is being developed for the USA market"

The new EMS-XL is PC based and operates using Windows™ XP and is a multi-configurable system that combines seamlessly with the Mennen Medical Horizon SE™ Hemodynamic System. This interoperability with other Mennen products assures your investment, and the industry standard OS makes for faster learning and increased overall productivity.
