survivors and their families are invited to attend a free one-day workshop from
8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the David C. Pratt Cancer Center at St. John’s Mercy
Medical Center, 615 South New Ballas Road, St. Louis, Mo. 63123. Sponsor is
ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association, Inc.
This educational and
supportive day is FREE and open to people at all stages of testing and treatment
for all types of thyroid cancer, as well as their families, friends, and
caregivers.
Physician speakers include
•Susan Larson, M.D., Chicago,
Illinois;
•Jeffrey F. Moley, M.D., Surgeon, Washington University St. Louis,
a medical advisor to ThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association; and
•Irini
E. Veronikis, M.D., Endocrinologist, St. Louis, Missouri.
The physicians
will speak and answer questions about thyroid cancer care, research advances,
and physician-patient communications.
Additional features of the program
include:
•Session led by Mary K. Debenedetti, R.N., B.S.N., Washington
University St. Louis
•Free Reiki sessions
•Survivor/caregiver support
group roundtables led by ThyCa volunteers.

Survivors’ Association, Inc. is a voluntary nonprofit, 501(c) (3) organization
