New Second-Generation Botox Alternative Now Available

introduction of a new, stronger second-generation topical “botox” alternative,
Relax Plus with Vialox®. Vialox® was engineered by pharmaceuticals giant,
Pentapharm (Basel, Switzerland). The substance is an amino-peptide designed to
act in a manner similar to turbocurarin, the ingredient that acts as a
paralyzing agent in curare. Vialox® has been shown to inhibit muscle
contractions up to 71% immediately after application. Fewer and less intense
muscle contractions help to prevent wrinkle formation and lessen the appearance
of existing facial lines.
The new product comes in a two-bottle kit that
allows a much higher concentration of active ingredient to be delivered directly
into the skin. Acetyl hexapeptide 3, (AH-3) the popular first generation wrinkle
relaxing ingredient, was found to be drying to the skin when used at high
concentrations. Vialox® does not have this effect at high concentrations. Over a
28-day period, Pentapharm in vivo tests showed up to 49% decrease in wrinkle
depth and also a decrease in skin surface roughness of up to 47%. This is
significantly greater than the 30% decrease in wrinkle depth reported in tests
done using AH-3.
